Modified on Tue, 27 Jan at 9:55 AM

Drop In Bulb Pods have been an increasingly popular solution for keen gardeners and beginners alike over the last few years. Instead of the having to go through the laborious task of planting bulbs, which is very messy and time consuming work, anyone can plant wonderful displays with very little effort when they use Drop In Bulb Pods instead. Find out more about these helpful kits below.

What are ‘Drop In’ Bulb Pods?

Each pod is usually in the form of a biodegradable tray which has bulbs in, already evenly spaced in a pre-established arrangement for not only maximum ease but also maximum impact!

Since they already have the ideal spacing, bulb pods will provide perfect colour-themed displays every time!

It really is a case of DIG – DROP – COVER – your results will astound friends & family!

The totally biodegradable ‘Bulb Pod’, will itself disappear with a few weeks from planting, leaving the bulbs in the perfect planting design – in spring you will get a fabulous display that looks just like the pictures!

‘Drop In’ Bulb Pod Aftercare

Since the tray biodegrades then there is no need to remove it from the ground at any point, the bulbs will grow in the arrangement there were in the tray.

Aftercare depends on the variety of bulbs in the tray you planted. A general rule is to make sure to water well throughout the year, so the ground is damp but not soaking. In most cases this is all you will have to do!

But for more tailored advice then check the packaging the pod came in and/or visit the specific section on this site for the type of bulbs you planted. If you have unique or uncommon variety then the RHS website will be your best bet for finding aftercare information.
